Ms. Chadwick has 25 years of experience at technology companies, including 15 years of direct executive-level experience at early-stage, venture-backed startups. Ms. Chadwick held business development and executive roles at technology companies that included Wind River Systems, Microtec Research, Sun Microsystems, Mentor Graphics, and ISR Global Telecom. In 1999 Ms. Chadwick co-founded DigitalOwl, Inc., a digital media software company. As the company’s CEO, Ms. Chadwick raised over $13M in venture capital and grew the company to 35 employees. In 2007, Ms. Chadwick was tapped to become the Executive Director of the Winter Park Angels, a 50+ member angel investment group. Today, Ms. Chadwick is a founding partner of Growth Innovators, LLC. Ms. Chadwick consults to a variety of regional incubator programs and is advising the principals in two new Florida-based angel investment groups. Ms. Chadwick is the recipient of the Orlando Business Journal’s Women Who Mean Business Award, the Working Woman Entrepreneurial Excellence Award, and the Dr. W. Judson King Entrepreneurship Memorial Award. Ms. Chadwick graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Computer Science from UCF, and has an MBA from UCF.
Mr. Hilmes has 25 years of experience in technology companies, including 14 years of executive level positions at high-growth technology companies. Mr. Hilmes has significant technical and industry domain expertise in digital media, mobile/cellular communications, wireless broadband, wireline broadband, public switched telephone networks, Voice-over-IP, and Internet infrastructure technologies. Mr. Hilmes has held a variety of executive positions at startup companies that include VP of Worldwide Sales at Kasenna (acquired), VP of Business Development at Pronto Networks (private), VP of Worldwide Sales at Copper Mountain Networks (went public then acquired), and Area Vice President at Premisys Communications (went public then acquired). At Kasenna, Mr. Hilmes was part of an executive team engaged to turn around a struggling startup company and successfully position the company for sale. At Pronto Networks Mr. Hilmes set strategic direction to successfully establish partnerships with Tier-1 service providers and OEMs including Sprint, Nortel, and Sun Microsystems. At Copper Mountain, Mr. Hilmes was an integral part of a team that grew sales from $22 million to $281 million in a two year period. Mr. Hilmes contribution to Copper Mountain’s success resulted in his appointment as VP of Worldwide Sales and as an Officer of the company. Mr. Hilmes has also founded Media Retriever, an early-stage company that focused on the emerging streaming media marketplace. In addition to Mr. Hilmes tenure at startups, he served as Director of Business Development of Syniverse Technologies (public) a $330 million mobile telephony financial clearing and services company where he led a team focused on strategic direction and new product development. Mr. Hilmes prior experience includes various marketing and engineering positions with AT&T Paradyne, Sun Microsystems, and Apollo Computer. Mr. Hilmes earned his B.S. in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Illinois and his MBA from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Michael was a co-founder of Vivace Networks and has raised over $125M in venture capital in Silicon Valley start-ups. He has extensive experience in the development, marketing, and sales of complex voice and data network equipment to worldwide service providers and Enterprise customers. Michael holds a patent for IP Virtual Private Networks. He was instrumental in selling Vivace, a company that he co-founded, to a $6B public company. Prior to joining Vivace Networks, Mr. Kazban was the Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for Wavespan Corporation. He was instrumental in the definition and delivery of the industry’s first and highest capacity Wireless IP Integrated Access System. He was responsible for the sale of the Wavespan to the industry’s market leader. Before Wavespan, Mr. Kazban was a member of the executive management team at Premisys Communications Corporation. In his role as Senior Vice President of Business Management, he was responsible for the management of the company’s product portfolio. Mr. Kazban also served as the company’s Vice President of Worldwide Marketing and Service. Before joining Premisys Communications, Mr. Kazban was a Director of Product Management at AT&T. He was responsible for the Access Multiplexer line of business and made investments on behalf of AT&T. Mr. Kazban holds a MBA degree from the University of Tampa and BSEE degree from the University of Central Florida.
