Melbourne, Fla. May 14, 2004 Technological Research and Development Authoritys (TRDA) Incubation Network Director Heidi Brandow, announced that Z-Facilitators, a firm specializing in water engineering and sciences, will become the most recent graduate of the incubation program.
The Florida/NASA Business Incubation Center allowed us to focus on researching and improving our products and services while providing us with the tools needed to build more business, says George Guo, president of Z-Facilitators.
Less than a year after entering the Florida/NASA Business Incubation Center (FNBIC), Z-Facilitators Inc. (ZFI) was awarded a contract for $1.3 million from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Everglades Restoration Program. During their time at the incubator, Z-Facilitators gained respected clients including Army Corps. of Engineers, City of Orlando and the South Florida Water Management District.
Z-Facilitators provides specialized support in a number of areas including surface water hydrodynamics, hydrology and hydrogeology, water transport, water quality analysis, and flood control. The company's knowledge-based, scientifically oriented assistance supports government agencies, private developers and multi-disciplinary engineering firms. To date theyve successfully completed projects for the St. Johns River Water Management District, the South Florida Water Management District, the City of Cocoa, the government of Hong Kong, and others.
Established by the Technological Research and Development Authority (TRDA) in 1996, the Florida/NASA Business Incubation Center helps accelerate the success of technology-based, small businesses by providing affordable space, shared office services and fulfilling enterprise development needs to give companies a strong competitive edge. The Incubator is managed through a joint partnership of Floridas TRDA, NASA-Kennedy Space Center and Brevard Community College.
