FLORIDA/NASA BUSINESS INCUBATION CENTER ENABLES
CURRENT TENANT TO EXPAND INTO ORLANDO MARKET

TITUSVILLE, Fla. - Officials with the Florida/NASA Business Incubation Center (FNBIC) announced today that one of its current tenants, NetLander, Inc., has expanded into the Orlando market and opened an additional office in the Central Florida Business and Technology Development Center, a local business incubation facility. An information technology management company, NetLander Inc. has been a tenant of the FNBIC since March 1998 and is the first FNBIC tenant to be housed in two incubators at the same time.

"The business services and resources provided by the FNBIC have been a crucial part of NetLander's success, allowing us to expand and ultimately open an additional office in the Central Florida Business and Technology Development Center" said Thomas Beever, president of NetLander, Inc. The NetLander, Inc./Orlando office will service clients in the central Florida region, providing services similar to the Titusville office, including JAVA and C++ software development and Unix system administration. Both offices will additionally sell NetLander's new, soon-to-be-released product, JTouch 2.0, a Web-based, near real-time monitoring system.

"NetLander's success and upcoming expansion is a great testament to the power of our business incubation program," said Tom Rainey, director of the FNBIC. "It is exciting to see one of our tenants use our resources and grow into viable and successful company," he said. Beever explained there were three important decision factors for NetLander, Inc. to move to its new Orlando location. First, NetLander would be able to market to the I-4 technology corridor, which includes Lake Mary, Heathrow and the ever-growing Research Park. There is also the opportunity to use the small business planning and financial services provided by the Central Florida Business and Technology Development Center. Finally, the new location would give NetLander the ability to recruit directly from the University of Central Florida's (UCF) Computer Science Program.
Presently, the Orlando location has one permanent employee, Patrick Mullican, an account manager and a UCF alum. The office hopes to expand its employee base to three permanent employees and obtain five to 10 additional contract employees.

Established by Florida's Technological Research and Development Authority (TRDA) in 1996, the Florida/NASA Business Incubation Center nurtures and helps accelerate the success of technology-based, small businesses in Brevard County. Located on the Titusville campus of Brevard Community College, the Incubator provides affordable space and shared office equipment and services, thereby reducing many of the costs associated with establishing and operating a small business. In addition, they provide access to many NASA and other technological-based resources that help each tenant grow and prosper. The incubator is managed through a joint partnership of Florida's TRDA, NASA-Kennedy Space Center and Brevard Community College.
