The TRDA offers a broad array of services and programs to support early-stage technology companies throughout Florida. Our constituents include existing technology companies, engineers and scientists, university faculty interested in commercializing their research, students and first-time entrepreneurs.
We are dedicated to helping technology companies make it through the formation and growth stages so they can create jobs and wealth in our state. To accomplish this goal, TRDA surrounds every participating entrepreneur and client company with experienced “been there, done that” executives and service professionals. We also offer dedicated programs and staff that facilitate the commercialization of innovative technologies from the laboratory into the marketplace. Finally, the TRDA provides an array of business development workshops and networking events to help ensure entrepreneurs are equipped with the knowledge and people to navigate their companies through the launch and early growth stages.
The TRDA provides a suite of mentoring and educational services that have been specifically developed to meet the diverse needs of technology entrepreneurs. The TRDA has on-staff Executives-in-Residence that have founded, financed and grown technology companies. These executives are supplemented by our Emerging Business Network, which includes attorneys, investors, CPAs, industry veterans, technologists, and other specialists that can assist our clients with all aspects of growing new business ventures.
TRDA offers federal Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) proposal development support, grant-writing workshops, product prototype development services, and guidance on market strategies for moving innovations into commercial markets. TRDA’s commercialization services are provided by our on-staff mentors, and participants also have access to the TRDA’s Emerging Business Network of professionals as needed.
TRDA’s Business Innovation Center offers clients 31,000 square feet of state-of-the-art incubation facilities that can be configured to grow alongside your company. We have high-bay suites as well as single-unit office suites, and have served a broad array of technology companies that include clean technology, software, semiconductor, IT and electronic systems, biotechnology and more.
