TRDA’s supply chain development program helps small, technology-based companies secure procurement opportunities and integrate their products into the federal supply chain. The TRDA conducts site visits to companies, registering their qualifications, capabilities and certifications into a proprietary database. As specific federal agency procurement opportunities arise, the TRDA works to match these opportunities with companies registered in the database. Florida Disabled Veteran Business Initiative The TRDA, in conjunction with The Veterans' Corporation, launched a program designed to help disabled, veteran-owned business enterprises (DVBEs) tap into state contracts. The Florida Disabled Veteran Business Initiative is a pilot program with three primary objectives: connecting registered disabled veterans with procurement opportunities at the state level; educating procurement professionals at major state departments and agencies about the opportunity to contract with DVBEs; and connecting disabled veteran with government and corporate spenders at the state of Florida Department of Management Services' annual Matchmaking Event. For more information on supply chain development or the Florida Disabled Veteran Business Initiative contact Dave Kershaw, Deputy Director at (321) 872-1050, ext. 102 or via e-mail at dkershaw@trda.org |
